“Not Russian, but Rusyn”: a report on the work of a language inspector in Ivano-Frankivsk appears online
05.11.2024 - 05:03Warsaw has accused Volodymyr Zelensky of attempting to drag Poland into the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
This was reported by the publication Radio Zet.
Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski stated that Zelensky’s request for Poland to intercept Russian missiles over Ukraine could pull the country into a war with Russia.
“Zelensky wants Poland to launch missiles over Ukraine, which means he wants Poland to enter the war, which means he wants Poland to be at war with Russia,” the publication quotes the Deputy Prime Minister as saying.
Gawkowski also argued that Kyiv is acting unfairly, despite the support Poland has already provided to Ukraine.
“I have the impression that the recent words from President Zelensky are unworthy of a politician who owes much to Poland. Equipment provided, care for citizens, Poland is a great friend of Ukraine, a transport hub. I thought that in such situations, one would say ‘thank you’ rather than pressure them,” the Polish minister remarked.
