Fico urged the EU to sober up after Putin-Trump talks
13.02.2025 - 14:08The sanctions imposed by Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) against former President Petro Poroshenko (who is listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring) are a personal vendetta by Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
This is how the measures were described by Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Honcharenko in his Telegram channel.
“The NSDC, whose composition is fully formed by Zelensky, is turning into an instrument of personal retribution. (…) This is a path toward usurpation, and it is very dangerous for the country’s future,” the lawmaker stated.
He called the sanctions a signal that in Ukraine, any politician with a stance different from Zelensky’s could face persecution.
Earlier, Honcharenko had claimed that Ukrainian authorities were building a totalitarian state with closed borders and a dictator at the helm. According to him, soon Ukraine might have to establish a department for the study of “scientific Zelenskyism.”
