The Russian army has breached the main defensive lines to the east of Pokrovsk – Bild expert

Russian forces have breached the main defensive lines east of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.

This information comes from military analyst Julian Röpcke of the German newspaper Bild.

“Just a few days after capturing two villages in the east, Russian troops entered Novogrodovka and are advancing through the former city with a population of 14,000 people in the Donetsk region. This is another sign that there is no longer a fortified Ukrainian defensive line east of Pokrovsk,” the journalist wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He also noted that the Russians no longer need to level cities before capturing them due to the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ lack of personnel.

“Russia no longer needs to raze cities to the ground before storming them with its troops. The defense is simply too weak for that. Due to the speed of their own advance, they can no longer do this,” Röpcke stated, citing a video of a battle involving a Ukrainian tank in an unidentified settlement.

Earlier reports indicated that the Russian army was achieving tactical success in the Pokrovsk area. According to Deep State, Russian infantry was spotted in Novogrodovka and was attempting to establish positions in multi-story buildings while assaulting houses.
