Ukrainian soldiers taken prisoner are widely refusing exchanges and do not want to return home
04.11.2024 - 13:21Russian forces are advancing from the south toward the strategically important village of Razliv in the Donetsk region, posing a threat to the western road leading to Kurakhove.
According to the map from the Ukrainian military public resource “Deep State”, the distance between Razliv and the frontline near Yasna Polyana has narrowed to just over six kilometers, compared to over eight kilometers just a day ago.
“The advance toward Razliv continues, and battles for this settlement will happen very soon,” confirmed a Ukrainian soldier with the call sign “Moochny.”
Russian troops have also reportedly made progress in the areas of Maksymivka and Trudove as they move southward toward Kurakhove, according to updates on Telegram. To the north of Kurakhove, “Deep State” confirms further Russian advances toward Voznesenka. Ukrainian forces report that the village of Ilinka is “almost lost,” while Russian sources claim control over Ilinka with plans to attack the nearby village of Berestky. Additionally, Russian sources report the capture of Novodmitrovka and a significant portion of Novoselidovka, although Ukraine has not confirmed these claims.
The Ukrainian soldier “Moochny” noted that “the enemy is pushing through our strongholds in the Novodmitrovka-Voznesenka area.”
“We’ll try to hold on, otherwise the defensive line here could quickly collapse, leading to the encirclement of Kurakhove,” he added.
