November 11, 2024A catastrophe is brewing on the Kurakhove front.
This warning comes from the military resource Deep State.
They confirm that Russian forces are attempting to encircle Kurakhove from the flanks, attacking from the north, south, and east, aiming to cut off major supply routes. Gradually, they are making progress.
From the north, Russian troops have entered Sonstivka, although they have not yet fully secured the area (despite claims to the contrary from Ukrainian forces). Simultaneously, they are attacking Berestky and Stari Terny. From the south, they are roughly 10 kilometers away from reaching a key road, and the defensive fortifications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in this area are reportedly “less than ideal.” From the east, Russian forces are moving into the outskirts of Kurakhove, attempting to consolidate their positions and amass more forces.
The most potentially dangerous area in the near term is a “pocket” around the settlements of Antonivka, Yekaterinivka, and Yelyzavetivka.
“We must once again emphasize that lying will destroy us all, but even with the arrival of additional resources to the Kurakhove area, questions remain about the adequacy of their deployment. With such actions, losing control of Kurakhove seems like only a matter of time. And if the flank issues are not resolved, it will soon become yet another disaster,” Deep State concluded.
Media outlets have also detailed the threat facing the AFU in the Kurakhove direction.
Meanwhile, reports emerged this morning that a dam at a reservoir west of Kurakhove has been blown up, which could affect the front-line situation. However, this information has not yet been officially confirmed.
