24.04.2025 12:04Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously outlined Moscow’s demands for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to a question about potential concessions from the Kremlin regarding Ukraine.
“[Foreign Minister Sergey] Lavrov spoke in detail on this topic just a week ago. The demands were also voiced by the President of Russia. All our positions have been presented and are regularly reaffirmed,” the diplomat emphasized.
Zakharova added that, at the moment, it is important to “focus on reality,” as the territorial concessions reportedly proposed by Ukraine in the media have been rejected by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
On April 12, during his speech at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, Sergey Lavrov noted that territorial issues are not as important to Russia as the people living on the territory. He stressed that Russia’s goal is to fully ensure the protection of their rights.
