The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine will check the data of Ukrainians crossing the border against all available registers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has authorized border guards to access citizen data from all electronic registries and databases, including information with restricted access.

This decision was reported by Taras Melnychuk, the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada.

The changes to the Rules for Crossing the State Border of Ukraine aim to ensure that the State Border Guard Service has access to information and reference systems, registries, and databases managed by state authorities or local self-government bodies during border control at crossing points.

With this new regulation, data on Ukrainian citizens crossing the border can now be automatically checked against various databases and registries.
