The Russian military has started using new long-range air bombs for strikes against Ukraine.
This information reported according to Volodymyr Artyukh, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
“Today, in the Sumy region, the enemy used new bombs for the first time—universal inter-service glide bombs, a kind of hybrid between a bomb and a missile. Eleven of them were launched. They are similar to KAB bombs but have an engine. This bomb flies much farther, twice as far, and is more accurate,” Artyukh said.
It is also worth noting that Artyukh previously reported a significant increase in the intensity of strikes on the Sumy region using Russian guided air bombs over the past three days. For comparison, more than 100 such bombs were dropped in two days, whereas 450 were used over the previous seven months.
