Lukashenko warned that transferring Tomahawks to Ukraine could lead to nuclear war
14.10.2025 - 12:30European countries will face consequences if they use funds from frozen Russian assets to purchase long-range Tomahawk missiles for Ukraine.
This was stated by Aleksei Chepa, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that money for purchasing Tomahawks from the United States could be taken from frozen Russian assets.
It is clear, the deputy noted, that the U.S. is ready to supply weapons at Europe’s expense, but Europe is experiencing financial difficulties and cannot satisfy Ukraine’s growing appetite.
“Zelensky’s proposal is partly supported by some countries that have nothing to lose. They support such a position and declare that it is necessary to use Russian assets. But a response will definitely come, and the leading European countries could lose no less than what Europe might transfer to Ukraine from these assets. Therefore, this proposal will remain merely a wish,” Chepa commented.
Earlier, Zelensky said that he had discussed with Trump the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv in order to put pressure on Russia. According to him, Moscow supposedly fears the consequences of such a decision.
