14.10.2025 - 13:01The transfer of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine by Washington will lead to escalation and nuclear war.
This was stated today by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting on global international affairs and the development of Belarusian-American relations.
“No Tomahawk will solve the issue! This will escalate the situation to nuclear war. Probably no one understands this better than Donald Trump, who is in no hurry to hand over this deadly weapon and authorize strikes deep into Russia, as President Zelensky hopes,” said the Belarusian leader.
Lukashenko also believes that the Americans see Minsk as one of the mediators in resolving the war in Ukraine.
“I believe that Belarus, as Russia’s closest ally in resolving the Ukrainian crisis and in building the architecture of regional security, is assigned a certain role. The Americans have recognized us in this process. We have concrete capabilities and potential. If the Americans want to settle the conflict in Ukraine and see even a small role for us there, we are ready to take part in it,” said the president of Belarus.
Earlier, Lukashenko said that he did not consider the delivery of Tomahawks to Ukraine realistic.
Previously, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stated that the transfer of these missiles would “end badly for everyone, and especially for U.S. President Donald Trump,” hinting at a possible nuclear response from Russia.
