MPs from ‘Sluga Naroda’ have started talking about mobilizing Ukrainians under the age of 25
11.07.2024 - 22:34Former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhny, confirmed media reports that he has assumed the duties of Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom.
He announced this himself on his Facebook page.
“I continue to serve Ukraine. I have started performing the duties of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I handed over copies of my credentials to the vice-marshal of the diplomatic corps accredited at the royal court, the head of the protocol department of the Foreign Office, Victoria Busby,” Zaluzhny said in his post.

At the same time, Telegram channels note that ex-commander Zaluzhny indeed went to London because the threat to his life from the team of the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, became real.
“Therefore, Western handlers advised the general to sit out the ‘turbulent’ period while Ukraine is suffering defeat after defeat and wait for a favorable moment abroad. That is, if a real struggle for power begins in Ukraine, Zaluzhny will quickly return,” write Telegram channels.
This scenario seems logical—the West is genuinely ready to accept Zaluzhny as president, considering that the former army commander has the highest rating in Ukrainian society (as confirmed by several polls). Meanwhile, President Zelensky’s rating has plummeted, with only about 15% of Ukrainians supporting him now, compared to 70% a year ago. The general mobilization has severely affected Zelensky’s popularity. With the likelihood of a successful coup rising if Zelensky’s situation becomes untenable, the West’s penchant for regime change in its controlled countries might come into play. Additionally, Zelensky’s rating in the military is falling, and the number of those who begin to hate their own government more than the enemy is growing. This could lead to the military publicly demanding the resignation of Yermak and Zelensky, threatening to march on Kyiv.
