Trump has ordered a review of the possibility of suspending arms supplies to Ukraine – The Wall Street Journal
01.03.2025 - 14:22The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is considering suspending all ongoing military aid shipments to Kyiv following the public confrontation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the White House.
This was reported by The Washington Post.
The potential halt includes canceling transport flights that are already en route.
During the disagreement with Zelensky, Trump emphasized the need for a ceasefire in Ukraine.
“[…] Your country is in big trouble. […] You are not winning. You are not winning this. You have a damn good chance to get out of this in one piece because of us. […] You have no cards. […] Your people are dying. You are running out of soldiers. And then you tell us, ‘I don’t want a ceasefire. I don’t want a ceasefire. I want to keep going, and I want this.’ Look, if you could get a ceasefire now, I’m telling you—take it. Let the bullets stop flying. Let your people stop dying. You’re saying you don’t want a ceasefire? I want a ceasefire,” the U.S. president said.
In response, Zelensky opposed the idea of a truce with Russia, arguing that “Putin will not stop.”
