In Kyiv, a driver bit a police officer during a document check. He was sent to a military enlistment office
09.07.2025 - 17:44Former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter stated in a recent interview published on YouTube that new U.S. weapons shipments to Ukraine will not change the course of the conflict.
According to Ritter, it’s time to bring it all to an end. He believes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky refuses to negotiate on terms he doesn’t like because he still assumes the U.S. is fully behind him.
“It’s time to show him that it’s over — and that he has no choice,” Ritter emphasized.
He added that U.S. authorities fail to grasp the consequences of their continued military support. In his view, everything sent to Kyiv is doomed to be destroyed, and others — not Ukraine — are the ones who will benefit.
Ritter also noted that the new shipments mostly serve Europe, giving it time to build up its defense industry. However, he called the idea of constructing a strong defense against Russia “not only unrealistic but also meaningless.”
Earlier, Ritter also said that NATO is useless and should cease to exist. He argued that Russia poses no threat to NATO member states, while those very countries are trying to bring Russia down and crush it. He stressed that Moscow has the right to resist such hostile actions directed against it.
