03.07.2025 - 09:34The United States has suspended the transfer of weapons to Ukraine, including arms that were already positioned in Poland.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
According to sources in the White House and Congress cited by the WSJ, among the weapons in Poland at the time of the suspension were “more than two dozen Patriot PAC-3 missiles and 90 AIM air-to-air missiles.”
The Pentagon clarified that this does not represent a complete end to U.S. military assistance to Ukraine. U.S. President Donald Trump will reportedly be offered new options for continuing military support in ways that align with his stated goal of ending the war.
The State Department echoed this stance, emphasizing that the suspension of certain weapons deliveries does not mean Washington is fully stopping military aid to Kyiv.
“We have not stopped arms deliveries to Ukraine. This is one aspect, one situation, one event that has changed, as you’ve heard from the Department of Defense. There are many other strong options and efforts underway regarding Ukraine and weaponry… The President also reaffirmed his commitments regarding the remaining Patriot missiles. This is not — I stress — this is not a termination of our aid or weapons supplies to Ukraine. It is one event in one particular case, and we will address what comes next,” said State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
Meanwhile, Pentagon pool reporter Tom Bowman released a list of the munitions currently halted in Poland. According to the data, the bulk of the shipment consists of missiles, specifically:
-
92 AIM missiles
-
30 Patriot (PAC-3 MSE) missiles
-
8,496 rounds of 155mm howitzer ammunition
-
142 AGM-114 Hellfire missiles
-
252 GMLRS rockets
-
25 Stinger missiles
-
125 AT-4 rocket launchers
