In Ukraine, women and individuals from age 18 must prepare for mobilization
09.06.2025 05:34U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance harshly criticized the aid provided to Kyiv by Washington during President Joe Biden’s administration.
His remarks were made during an interview with a podcaster, a fragment of which was circulated by political Telegram channels.
“As for the Biden administration — it’s simply madness. They’ve spent enormous sums around the world while engaging in almost no diplomacy. For example, we sent $300 billion to Ukraine, yet the U.S. president never truly attempted to achieve a diplomatic resolution. And we’re talking about thousands of lives lost,” said the U.S. Vice President.
Vance called the classified information on casualties from both sides “horrifying” and disagreed with the viewpoint of some Ukraine supporters that “Russians are dying — and that’s a good thing.”
“Look, I don’t justify the invasion, and I don’t defend the start of the war. But when people are dying, when they’re torn to pieces, your heart can’t remain indifferent. Something has to be done to change that,” Vance emphasized.
“Whether it’s Israel, Russia, or Ukraine — we strive to reach some sort of resolution, to bring things to an end. If we succeed — we’ll save thousands of lives. If we fail — it was still worth trying,” said the U.S. Vice President.
