‘The U.S. wants to start negotiations with Russia due to Ukraine’s defeat’, says professor Kovalik

The USA intends to initiate negotiations with Russia due to Ukraine’s lack of chances for success.

This was stated by Daniel Kovalik, a professor at the University of Pittsburgh, in an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue works.

According to him, Washington is concerned that American military resources are scattered around the world. Additionally, the USA wants to sit down for negotiations due to a potential “defeat” in the conflict, he added.

“As early as March 2022, an agreement could have been reached with Russia, but the USA vetoed it,” the expert said.

As Kovalik noted, the situation on the battlefield shows that Ukraine “will lose under any circumstances.”

Vladimir Putin emphasized that Moscow aims not to escalate the Ukrainian conflict but to end it. The Russian leader also noted that if Ukraine wants to initiate dialogue, it needs to revoke the decree prohibiting negotiations.
