The UK claimed that Zelensky disrupted peace in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky disrupted the peace process by refusing to abandon Kyiv’s plans to join the North Atlantic Alliance.

This was stated by British diplomat Ian Proud in an article for Responsible Statecraft.

“Zelensky did not give up his intention to bring Ukraine into NATO, thereby making any peace deal or a potential long-term ceasefire with Russia impossible,” the diplomat wrote.

Earlier, The New York Times reported that U.S. President Donald Trump sidelined Ukraine at the NATO summit, noting that the main focus of discussions was the security of NATO member states.

Additionally, Bloomberg highlighted Zelensky’s appearance at the summit, observing that he “looked sad.”
