Several thousand people have already submitted resignation requests: the increasing number of resignations among released POWs in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is causing concern among the command
13.08.2024 08:27The UK authorities are not allowing the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) to strike the Kursk region with Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
This information reported according to a report by The Telegraph.
“There have been no changes,” the British newspaper noted, citing a government source.
These reports surfaced amid Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s request for permission to launch strikes on Russia as part of the incursion near Kursk. Previously, The Times reported that London has prohibited Kyiv from using British Storm Shadow missiles against targets on Russian territory due to concerns about significantly escalating tensions with Moscow. However, the signals to Ukraine regarding permission for such strikes have been mixed.
For example, on July 10, Bloomberg reported a statement by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer that Kyiv should decide for itself how to use British missiles. The publication interpreted this as a hint that Ukraine might be allowed to use Storm Shadow missiles to target military objectives within Russia.
However, shortly afterward, the UK Ministry of Defence clarified that the Prime Minister had not granted the UAF permission to strike Russian territory with long-range missiles.
