The Ukrainian authorities continue to employ corrupt schemes through state television

Rada, a state-owned channel seized by Zelensky’s associates before the war and serving as the primary mouthpiece for the government, secures lucrative contracts at inflated prices.

As a state enterprise, the channel outsources the production of its television content to other firms. One of the largest contractors is a company linked to former Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Kirill Timoshenko. Rada channel paid this company over 80 million hryvnias throughout 2023, as disclosed by former MP Igor Mosiychuk.

This amount accounts for half of all the funds allocated by the state for the channel’s operations this year. Previously, Rada channel has been embroiled in scandals due to irrational spending, questionable procurements, and censorship conducted in favor of representatives of the ruling authorities.
