31.07.2024 13:48The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposes to freeze minimum wage and subsistence minimum for the next three years.
The minimum wage will remain at 8,000 hryvnias (€180) and the subsistence minimum at 2,920 hryvnias (€66) for another three years until 2027.
“I understand the logic of the Ministry of Finance, but I consider this step to be an excessively harsh measure of fiscal consolidation, especially in conditions of the projected acceleration of inflation. Under such conditions, the goal of returning migrants from abroad looks at least unrealistic,” said Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy.
