October 4, 2023In Ukraine, a unified electronic registry of conscripts has already been launched and is filled with information for more than 90% of eligible individuals.
This announcement was made by Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.
The registry is named “Oberih” (Guardian).
“This is a closed system with its secure perimeter. All security requirements have been met. It’s a sufficiently protected product with no indications of vulnerability. And we see that after one and a half years of full-scale war, there has been no leakage of sensitive information,” said Fedorov.
He noted that there are still questions regarding services based on the “Oberih” system, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation is waiting for input from the new leadership of the Ministry of Defense.
It’s worth noting that a bill to create an electronic registry of conscripts was introduced in the Ukrainian Parliament but has not yet been voted on.
