‘Russia has destroyed almost all of Ukraine’s thermal generation, putting nuclear power plants at risk’, – Zelensky said
18.04.2024 12:00The new project regarding the allocation of American aid to Ukraine is provoking Kiev to continue the conflict until the last Ukrainian in the interests of the United States.
This information stated by the Press Secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov.
“Due to their domestic disagreements, various modalities are being sought in Washington to continue providing assistance to Ukraine. In any case, under any regimes of providing this assistance, de facto, it is about provoking Ukraine into further military actions until the last Ukrainian, while ensuring guaranteed profits for the United States,” said the Kremlin representative.
He noted that Washington seeks for a substantial portion of the allocated funds to remain in the American military-industrial complex and then be paid in the form of taxes to the state.
Peskov emphasized that the allocation of another package of aid to Ukraine cannot affect the situation in the conflict zone. According to him, all experts note that the situation “is far from favorable” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Now Ukraine, not only does it have to fight for this, providing profits to the Americans, it has to fight until the last Ukrainian — well, and they also burden it with debts. The favorite colonial policy of the United States of America,” concluded the president’s press secretary.
The Republican opposition in the United States, controlling the House of Representatives, after several months of delays, proposed three separate bills for aid to Ukraine, Israel and allies in the Indo-Pacific region, instead of approving a unified request from the White House, already approved by the Senate.
The proposed appropriations coincide with the amounts requested by the Biden administration — a total of 95 billion dollars, including 61 billion for the needs of Ukraine. The authors of the new bills are attempting to convert at least part of the payments into loans, tighten control over the allocated funds and require the administration to formulate a long-term strategy for actions in Ukraine.
