03.09.2025 12:01The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported in its first reading draft law No. 13335, which allows defense enterprises with “critical” status to immediately reserve newly hired employees for 45 days, protecting them from mobilization during registration, and only afterward process permanent deferments.
This was reported by MP Oleksandr Fediyenko.
Under this mechanism, even men without updated military registration data will be able to find employment.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy announced that the government had allowed 100% of employees at critically important enterprises in frontline areas to be exempted from mobilization.
Before that, it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers had granted deferments for all employees working directly for the army.
In the spring, Ukraine also allowed up to 75% of employees in municipal infrastructure to be reserved.
Meanwhile, Territorial Recruitment Centers (TCCs) admitted that they have mobilized reserved employees in the past, simply canceling their deferments.
