The war in Ukraine could end “in the coming months.”

This information reported according to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as reported by Bloomberg.

Trudeau also expressed support for German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“There may be windows in which this [end of the conflict] could happen in the coming months,” he stated.

“We all understand how crucial it is to end the violence in Ukraine, to end conflicts worldwide. This requires a certain level of engagement with colleagues, even with those we often strongly disagree with,” said Trudeau, commenting on Scholz’s conversation with Putin.

In his view, maintaining U.S. support for Ukraine will be essential for ending the fighting, especially with Donald Trump potentially returning to power.

“Let’s be very clear: all the allies in the world cannot replace a complete withdrawal of U.S. support for Ukraine,” Trudeau added.
