The White House is considering a plan to “compel” European countries to pay for American weapons and send them to Ukraine.

The New York Times reported this, citing sources.

This is one of the options being considered if Congress continues to block the provision of aid.

Other options under consideration include:

• Confiscation of Russian assets – facing difficulties and requiring approval from Congress.
• A comprehensive arms exchange, similar to what Japan and South Korea did, by supplying their artillery shells to the United States, giving Washington the opportunity to transfer more to Ukraine.

Although officially the White House says it is focused only on the deal in Congress.
