The wife of a soldier and an activist from Dnipro reported being beaten by a drunk neighbor

The wife of a serviceman and activist from Dnipro, Lesya Volobuyeva, reported being assaulted by a drunk neighbor.

She shared on social media that on the evening of August 9, after walking her dog, a man with a group of four people leaned down to pet her dog near her entrance. She “politely, but in a rather stern tone” made a remark, to which she received the response, “I pet when I want to.”

A conflict began, and they blocked her way to the gate. She started shouting for help. The man raised his hand and “acted brazenly and aggressively.” She unsuccessfully tried to hit him in the groin and then sprayed him in the eyes with an anti-perspirant spray.

At that point, another man grabbed her by the arm, and they began to beat her—first with fists to the head, then on the ground with their feet. According to her, the man said, “I will beat you every time I see you.”

She managed to escape and called the police. Ultimately, the court placed the attacker in custody.

Earlier, it was reported that in Dnipro, an unstable man was walking the streets and hitting random women. According to local social media channels, he is known online as a homeless man from Kyiv. There are reports of at least a dozen attacks by this man on women in various regions of Ukraine.
