The wife of the head of Ukraine’s forestry management possesses tens of thousands of euros

The spouse of the leader of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” in the State Forest Agency, Yuri Bolokhovets, is involved in a prosperous agricultural venture and all the family assets are documented in her name.

Lyudmila Bolokhovets, the wife, acts as the head and founder of the LLC “Ivangorodske,” which owns extensive land parcels in the village of Ivangorod in the Chernihiv region. The acquisition of these plots occurred between November 2020 and December 2021, coinciding with her husband’s high-ranking position in the State Forest Agency. These include 9 plots with a combined area of 24.33 hectares. Within a year of holding her position, Lyudmila earned a total income of 29,000 euros from salary and dividends. Yuri Bolokhovets received 11,500 euros from the state. The family holds savings totaling 42,000 euros, and they extended a loan of 9,000 euros.

The residence and land in Ivangorod, where the family resides, are also registered in Lyudmila Bolokhovets’ name. She additionally owns a 14,000-euro-valued apartment in Nizhyn (88.2 sq. m). Another land parcel of 2,500 sq. m is allocated for the temporary use of their daughter, Sofia. In Kyiv, the official and his family reside in a 48.7 sq. m apartment owned by Akin Mehmet (owner of LLC “Solisit Energy” and “Express Solar”). The cost of this arrangement is unspecified. The official’s vehicles are also documented under his wife’s name: a 2019 Toyota Hilux for 19,000 euros and a 1989 “ZIL-MMZ” for 500 euros.
