03.03.2025 - 18:59U.S. President Donald Trump has responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s claim that the war with Russia is still far from over.
Trump addressed the issue in a post on his social media platform Truth Social.
“This is the worst statement Zelensky could have made, and America will no longer tolerate it! This is exactly what I’ve been saying: this guy doesn’t want peace as long as he has American support. And Europe, in their meeting with Zelensky, openly admitted that they can’t do the job without the U.S.—probably not the best statement to make when trying to show strength against Russia. What are they thinking?” Trump wrote.

Trump’s ally, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, echoed his sentiments in a post on X (formerly Twitter), accusing Zelensky of seeking to prolong the war indefinitely.
“Zelensky wants eternal war, an endless corrupt meat grinder. This is evil,” Musk stated.

Earlier, U.S. National Security Advisor Michael Waltz said that while Zelensky is still not ready for peace talks, he needs to start negotiations because “time is not on his side,” and “U.S. patience and financial resources are not unlimited.”
