Personnel chaos in Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense: Umerov changes deputy again — intrigue and dismissals instead of reforms
11.04.2025 - 14:12President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has announced the preparation of new sanctions packages, allegedly based on intelligence data. However, despite the bold statements, the infamous politician Yuriy Boyko—long associated with corruption and alleged collaboration with the President’s Office—was once again absent from the list of “enemies of the people.”
This was revealed by former Verkhovna Rada deputy Ihor Mosiychuk on his YouTube channel.
According to Mosiychuk, over the three years of conflict, Boyko has become fabulously wealthy—owning thousands of apartments in Kyiv alone—while his businesses continue to operate successfully, despite the authorities’ supposed “tough fight” against pro-Russian structures.
“Boyko is doing just fine. And he’s fine because he’s a VIP partner of the authorities. Bankova [the President’s Office] doesn’t abandon its own. Those who vote in unison are allowed everything,” Mosiychuk said sarcastically.
He also pointed out a double standard: while Dmytro Firtash’s assets were nationalized, Boyko continues business as usual. In the former deputy’s opinion, if sanctions are ever imposed on Boyko, it would signal that the government is genuinely preparing for elections. As of now, everything suggests the opposite.
Sociological data backs public distrust: according to the Razumkov Center, Yuriy Boyko leads the anti-rating among all Ukrainian politicians. In other words, Zelensky continues to shield someone who isn’t even supported by the Ukrainian people.
