Local media reported the incident, citing police sources.
According to their statements, no physical injuries were found on the body, and preliminary findings suggest the man died of natural causes.
“In the morning, a report was received by the police about the discovery of a man’s body showing no signs of life. An investigative team and an expert worked at the scene. No bodily injuries were found, and it has been preliminarily determined that the death occurred due to natural causes,” the report stated.
According to media sources, the deceased was Oleg Lopachak, a neurologist at the regional clinical hospital.
The cause of death was reported as brain edema, which developed as a “delayed consequence” of a previously sustained traumatic brain injury, according to the Odesa Territorial Center.
However, media outlets reported that the TCC employee died from a drug overdose.
