NATO Secretary General Rutte said that Ukraine will have to make territorial compromises
27.01.2026 11:58In Kyiv’s Darnytskyi District, hot water is being shut off due to large-scale problems in the energy system.
This was reported in an appeal from the Darnytskyi District State Administration to the heads of building management companies that was obtained by the media. Officials are urging them to switch off hot water supply.
“As a result of massive missile-and-drone attacks by the Russian Federation, energy infrastructure facilities in the Darnytskyi District of the city of Kyiv have been damaged, and a certain shortage of heat and power capacity has formed. We ask you to carry out work to disconnect the hot water supply service,” the document says.
The district administration also refers to an order by the executive body of the Kyiv City Council dated January 22.
Meanwhile, journalist Lesia Padalka wrote that the hot water shutdown applies to all of Kyiv: the heating medium will be used only for space heating.
“Bad news: there will officially be no hot water until the end of this heating season. Previously, it existed for those whose capacity allowed them to split the heat medium between both heating and water supply (not many). Now that’s it—everything, the entire medium is only for heating Kyiv residents’ homes,” Padalka wrote on her Facebook page.
Earlier, Maksym Bakhmatov, head of the Desnianskyi District State Administration, said that if the sewage system freezes in Troieshchyna, they will dig cesspits in the streets there.
