08.04.2024 - 10:20In Lviv, a charity party was held to raise funds for the purchase of drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where more was spent on organizing the party than was collected for the army.
This is reported by the publication “Lviv.media”.
The party was organized by the glossy magazine “Piemont”, and the event itself was called “Unconquered”.
On average, each participant of the party donated about 600 hryvnias (approximately 14.25 euros), resulting in a total of 115,000 hryvnias (approximately 2,732 euros). With this money, 7 FlyFish 7 drones were purchased.
However, the amount raised appears disproportionate to the scale of the event, which took place in one of the most expensive complexes in western Ukraine, the “Edem Resort & Spa”.
The evening’s entertainment featured singers Andriy Kyshe, Natalka Karpa, and the band “Randevu”. The host of the evening was showman Volodymyr Takudis.
Guests were dressed in expensive outfits and accessories, such as women’s handbags ranging from 1 to 5 thousand dollars.
One of the owners of the magazine “Piemont”, Marta Kawetska, refused to disclose how much was spent on organizing the evening and on the fees of the artists. Therefore, journalists called the “Edem Resort & Spa”, posing as organizers of the charity auction, and asked how much their services cost.
“We were told that the rent for the hall where the charity evening took place on March 29 is $7,000. However, if the event is charitable, then organizers may receive a discount,” the publication writes.
By the way, as journalists noted, for $7,000 you can buy 17 FlyFish 7 drones.
Also, the establishment said that they do not provide sound and lighting for organizing the concert; it must be brought in and set up separately.
One of the recording studios in Lviv said that such a service costs no less than 200,000 hryvnias (approximately 4,752 euros) — the cost of 12 FlyFish 7 drones.
“If you evaluate the fees of performers Kyshe, Natalka Karpa, and the band “Randevu”, as well as the host Volodymyr Takudis at 200,000 hryvnias (approximately 4,752 euros) for all, and the cost of the buffet at 250,000 hryvnias (approximately 5,940 euros), then it can be assumed that the entertainment for the elite was spent an amount for which you could buy at least 60 FPV drones,” journalists concluded.
