“They stand, laugh, and wait for a potential victim”: a soldier called for sending military recruitment center staff to the front

Ukrainian soldier Maksym Yukhnevych from the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodny Yar” has called for sending employees of territorial recruitment centers to the front lines.

He made this statement during a broadcast on NTA.

According to Yukhnevych, in his hometown, he sees “crowds” of recruitment center employees who could be deployed to fight instead.

“I walk through the city and see a crowd of TCC [territorial recruitment center] staff—ten healthy guys who could be sent to the front. They just stand around, laughing, telling jokes, smoking, and waiting for a potential victim to grab and shove into a van,” Yukhnevych stated.

Calls to dissolve the recruitment centers and reinforce the army with their staff have been actively discussed in the Verkhovna Rada since November. However, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense rejected this proposal at the time.
