09.10.2024 13:19Summonses sent by mail in Ukraine must now be delivered as registered letters with the labels “Summons from the Territorial Recruitment Center” and “To be delivered personally.”
This requirement is outlined in the recent resolution No. 1147 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, issued yesterday.
According to the document, if the recipient does not pick up the summons, the post office may call the recipient using the phone number on file or leave a notice in their mailbox indicating the arrival of a letter marked “Summons from the Territorial Recruitment Center.”
If the person still does not collect the letter within three days, the post office will mark the letter as “recipient not at the specified address,” sign and stamp it, and return the summons to the recruitment center on the same day.
When delivering registered mail with the note “To be delivered personally” or a letter marked “Summons from the Territorial Recruitment Center,” the recipient must confirm receipt by signing and providing their full name. If the recipient refuses to acknowledge receipt of the registered letter, the postal worker must mark it as “Recipient refused” and return it to the sender no later than the next business day.
After this process, the summons is considered delivered.
Previously, the Cabinet of Ministers shortened the time frame for appearing at the recruitment center after receiving a summons from 14 days to 7-10 days.
