17.01.2025 - 05:31Employees of Kharkiv Territorial Recruitment Centers wearing balaclavas are blocking roads and assaulting human rights activists.
This was stated by MP Oleksandr Bakumov from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“This is total street blockading with barricades, where vehicles can’t even pass. It’s some kind of, forgive me, population filtration. These are inappropriate means and measures being taken,” Bakumov said.
According to him, there is no other city in the country experiencing such lawlessness from recruitment officers as in Kharkiv. As a result, small businesses in the city are shutting down en masse because their workers are afraid to leave their homes.
Kharkiv Telegram channels report that following Bakumov’s speech, committees will convene a joint meeting to discuss the issue of protecting citizens’ rights and freedoms during mobilization in the city.
Earlier, a Kharkiv businessman with diabetes and hypertension shared his experience with the military medical commission.
“Falsification of lab results, ignoring complaints, and ‘inhumane’ treatment. Prepare all your documents. Make sure all diagnoses are entered into the state registry. Find and study the directive listing illnesses that exempt one from mobilization. Additionally, look for the guidelines doctors follow—find and study them too. If you have a lawyer, prepare in advance with their assistance,” the entrepreneur advised.
It should be noted that earlier, dozens of searches were conducted in Kharkiv region targeting employees of territorial recruitment centers who profited from draft dodgers.
