22.11.2024 23:14The threat from Moscow to continue strikes using new weapons should be taken seriously.
This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
The head of the Hungarian government said that “Russia bases its policy and its place in the world on military power.”
“If they say something about this, it should be taken at face value,” Orbán said.
According to him, Russia’s change in its nuclear doctrine is not just posturing.
“Therefore, I just want to say that when the Russians change the rules for using their nuclear power, it’s not a trick — they have been changed and will be applied,” Orbán added.
It is worth recalling that in Hungary, the permission for Ukrainian forces to launch long-range strikes against Russia was referred to as “an expansion of the war to the entire world.”
Péter Szijjártó links the approval of strikes with Western weapons deep into Russia to the victory of Donald Trump in the U.S. and right-wing forces in European elections.
Earlier, Orbán stated that Zelensky does not want to stop the war, believing that time is on Ukraine’s side.
“I tried to explain to their president: ‘Please, my friend, time is not on your side, I am ready to help you, ready to assist in achieving a ceasefire, and then help to reach an acceptable peace,'” Orbán said about his visit to Kyiv.
