14.11.2024 09:45An officer from the Kyiv recruitment center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has passed away in the hospital after shooting himself in the head at his workplace.
This information reported according to media reports citing sources.
Journalists reported that a suicide note was found at the scene, indicating that the reason for his suicide was fatigue from service. Law enforcement sources suggest that the major may have taken his life due to conflicts with his superiors amid a heavy workload.

The deceased has been identified as Major Voevodin, head of the personnel group. He survived the initial gunshot and was hospitalized but later died.
In a separate incident, it was previously reported that a Territorial Defense Battalion commander committed suicide after his unit retreated from positions near Vuhledar without authorization. Witnesses say that Ihor Hryb took his life immediately after a formation assembly; once the soldiers dispersed, a shot was heard.
Additionally, the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) confirmed the suicide of a man in the Kirovohrad region using service-issued weapons. While being transported to a psychiatric hospital, a resident of Svitlovodsk reportedly grabbed a police officer’s firearm and shot himself in the head.
