16.01.2024 - 11:53“War to the Last Ukrainian” – Ukraine will “fight with shovels” if the flow of Western aid runs dry.
This statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, in an interview with ABC News.
“Even if we run out of weapons, we will fight with shovels because the existence of this nation is at stake for Ukraine,” said Kuleba.
He also ruled out any negotiations with Russia until Ukraine occupies a stronger position on the battlefield. Thus, Ukraine’s authorities no longer deny the possibility of negotiations. They are just awaiting a position, although all Western intelligence reports speak of a worsening situation.
Kuleba noted that assistance to Ukraine could potentially help avoid a direct confrontation between NATO and Russia.
“Whatever the cost of supporting Ukraine now, the cost of fixing disorder in the world if Ukraine loses will be much, much higher,” he stated.
At the same time, forced mobilization continues in Ukraine. The Ukrainian authorities do not inquire whether people are willing to fight with shovels if Western aid ceases.
To recall, Kuleba previously stated that Ukraine has no Plan B in case of a reduction in Western aid.
