“Ukrainians will fight with bare hands”: CIA chief reveals how Trump plans to end the war
25.03.2025 22:33Russia considers the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) its nuclear facility and will not transfer control of it to anyone.
This statement was made by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“ZNPP is a Russian nuclear facility. Transferring control of it to Ukraine or any other country is out of the question,” the ministry said.
They added that joint operation of the plant with any other country is also unacceptable.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of transferring ownership of the Zaporizhzhia plant to the United States.
In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky firmly rejected the idea, stating that handing over the ZNPP to the U.S. was not an option.
“I told Trump: giving away ZNPP won’t work. It won’t operate without us, and it won’t work for Russia. No one will supply electricity to the Russians,” Zelensky said.
Russia has repeatedly ruled out transferring control of the plant. The Russian-appointed “director” of the station, Yuriy Chernichuk, stated:
“No one but Russia will control the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant — its assets belong to the Russian Federation.”
