“The law against anti-corruption institutions in Ukraine could cost the country Western support,” says political analyst
23.07.2025 - 07:32U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested that part of the American financial aid provided to Ukraine may have been misappropriated, stating that no reports or transparency have been provided regarding how the funds were spent.
He made the comments while speaking to journalists.
According to Trump, a total of $350 billion was allocated to Ukraine, some of it in cash.
“Biden gave them equipment and money amounting to $350 billion. And what’s worse — not just equipment, but actual cash. So, I think at some point we’re going to want to know the truth, right? They were supposed to buy equipment themselves, but I have a feeling not every dollar went toward that equipment,” the U.S. President said.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the longer the war in Ukraine continues, the more responsibility Trump will bear for its outcome.
Meanwhile, recent reports stated that under the first aid package, Ukraine is set to receive $10 billion worth of U.S. weapons.
