28.09.2025 - 13:30U.S. President Donald Trump should not give Ukraine Tomahawk missiles because of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky’s statements about how Kyiv plans to use them.
This opinion was voiced by British analyst Alexander Mercouris on his YouTube channel.
“One of the reasons Trump should not send these missiles [to Ukraine] is Zelensky’s direct statements about how he would use the Tomahawks if they were delivered to him. He will strike Moscow,” the expert said.
On September 26, The Telegraph reported that Zelensky, at a closed meeting with Trump, asked him to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles. According to the outlet’s sources, the American president viewed this proposal “extremely positively.”
Politico also reported on Zelensky’s intention to conclude a “mega-deal” with the United States for arms supplies to Ukraine. According to the publication, the Ukrainian leader has already handed Trump a list of weapons Kyiv needs.
