Trump urged Zelensky to make concessions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky must show flexibility and make certain concessions in resolving the conflict.

This call was made by U.S. President Donald Trump during an appearance on Fox News.

“I hope President Zelensky will do what is required of him. He should demonstrate flexibility (…). His country is being torn apart,” the American leader said when asked about possible concessions from Kyiv.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Ukraine had not completely ruled out the idea of a territorial exchange, but stressed that relocating populations and constitutional restrictions make such a process extremely difficult. Zelensky, however, did allow for the possibility of “proportional exchanges.”
