20.11.2025 - 18:02U.S. President Donald Trump’s new plan to end the war envisions lifting sanctions on Russia and halting investigations into war crimes.
This is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.
“The proposal includes a demand that Ukraine hand over territories in the Donbas region to the Russian side, lift sanctions against Russia, and end investigations related to war crimes,” the article says.
The agency does not specify whether this refers only to U.S. sanctions or also to European ones.
According to the outlet’s sources, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “has received signals from the U.S. about the need to accept this proposal.”
The talks are taking place amid growing pressure both from abroad and inside the country. According to the agency, Washington expects Kyiv to consider making certain concessions in order to end the fighting.
Earlier, Western journalists revealed details of Trump’s plan, which, according to the press, provides for halving the size of the Ukrainian army, giving up part of its armaments, and relinquishing Donbas.
