Putin’s special envoy Dmitriev: “Kyiv is delaying the negotiations and disrupting the dialogue”
24.10.2025 - 17:30U.S. President Donald Trump’s sanctions against Russia’s oil industry could create problems with fuel supplies to Ukraine.
This information reported according to energy expert Serhiy Kuyun, director of the consulting company A-95. He shared his assessment in an interview with the YouTube channel Superposition.
Kuyun noted that Russian companies Lukoil and Rosneft supply oil to refineries in Hungary and Slovakia, from which refined fuel is then exported to Ukraine.
“If they start having problems, and we’re buying fuel from those refineries, it will be difficult for us to purchase it because production will decline. The market is deeply interconnected, and it’s not entirely clear where the disruptions may come from. For example, Lukoil also has interests in Bulgaria, but it’s now leaving that market. Even though we don’t buy anything from Bulgaria directly, it will start pulling resources from the markets and producers we rely on. That means we’ll start competing with them,” Kuyun explained.
However, he added that consumers are unlikely to feel any discomfort, predicting that there will be no deficit or sharp price spikes. Kuyun expressed confidence that within 2–3 weeks, Ukraine would be able to find new sources of fuel supply.
