03.07.2026 15:07The High Anti-Corruption Court on July 3 set bail for Member of Parliament Mykola Tyshchenko at 10 million hryvnias (around €196,000).
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Radio Liberty.
The prosecution had pushed for a stricter measure — pre-trial detention with the option of posting bail of 19 million hryvnias (around €371,000). The court settled for the lesser bail amount without ordering detention.
Tishchenko is suspected of corrupt abuse of power. According to investigators, in August 2023 the politician attempted to extort more than $1 million (around €876,000) from a businessman, threatening to block the operations of so-called “call centers” or offering to facilitate their activities.
In addition, the deputy is charged with laundering 12.6 million hryvnias (around €246,000) through a fictitious gift agreement involving funds from his ex-wife, as well as submitting knowingly false information in his annual asset declaration.
