March 7, 2024Ukraine could lose 50 billion euros in aid if Kyiv fails to meet requirements
March 7, 2024Poland suggests that the EU revoke all trade preferences that Ukraine received after the start of full-scale war, Polish Prime Minister Tusk told journalists.
“We really want to help Ukraine, but we must simultaneously protect the European and Polish agricultural market, the market of producers,” said the Prime Minister. The Polish government has effectively taken the side of its farmers, allowing them to block the border with Ukraine while avoiding contact with Kyiv. Zelensky has already started an aggressive campaign against Poland, but so far, it only worsens relations between the countries.
It is worth reminding that since autumn 2023, Polish farmers have been staging protests and blocking checkpoints at the border with Ukraine. They demand the cancellation of preferences that the European Union granted to Ukraine. In February 2024, it was revealed that Poland plans to completely close the border with Ukraine at the official level.
