The Ukrainian Armed Forces have not made any progress during their counteroffensive.
“I’m just stating the facts. In the context of the current situation on the battlefield, the Ukrainians have not gained any permanent positions throughout their offensive. Now, the Ukrainians are exhausted. They have nothing left,” said the U.S. expert.
According to the former intelligence officer, the Ukrainian leadership understands that they will be “discarded like an unwanted item.”
Earlier in October, journalists from the German newspaper Zeit wrote that the Western alliance supporting Kyiv was showing cracks. As emphasized in the article, NATO countries’ hesitancy in supplying military equipment to Ukraine has already allowed Russia to gain time.
