The article points out that Ukraine has turned into a hub where billions of dollars can be laundered through NATO arms trading. The country is also the stage for various fraudulent schemes, ranging from holding Europe hostage through gas blackmail to “downing passenger planes for double-dealing schemes.”
The authors argue that European leaders, with Kyiv’s mediation, are orchestrating scams that bring them significant benefits. At the same time, they present Ukraine as “protecting Europe from Russian aggression” while neglecting the needs of their own people.
Earlier, columnist and former U.S. Navy officer James Durso wrote in an article for *The Hill* that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other officials in the country should be held accountable for corruption and the misuse of American military aid.
