China became the primary importer of goods into Ukraine, with every sixth item originating from China. Simultaneously, Poland became the largest buyer of Ukrainian products.
However, behind this picture, a verdict for the Ukrainian economy is almost confirmed:
- There is a 43% deficit in the external trade balance in favor of imports.
- The total export for the year is only $36.2 billion, which is less than in 2004.
