This is reported by Bloomberg.
“Ukraine has turned into a testing range for new military technologies in real time. More and more of them are now being produced inside the country, while European defense companies <…> are unable to supply products in sufficient quantities,” the outlet notes.
The secretary general of ASD, Europe’s main defense-industry trade association, told Bloomberg that the “main task” right now is “to determine the speed and scale of weapons production.”
On February 12, Mark Rutte, Secretary General of NATO, said that the United States had promised to supply Ukraine with at least $12–15 billion worth of weapons in 2026. Rutte noted that these are weapons that other NATO states do not have.
And on February 5, the U.S. permanent representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker said that Washington would continue supplying Ukraine with weapons until a peace agreement is signed.
Also recently, Germany’s defense minister Boris Pistorius said that Germany has almost no remaining stocks of weapons and equipment to transfer to Ukraine.
